1. Start by getting the right equipment. Make sure you have a quality skateboard, a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads.

7. Practice riding in a straight line. Try to keep your body centered and look down the road.
8. Learn how to do basic tricks. Start with the ollie, kickflip, and heelflip.
